We are currently inviting researchers and faculty to submit project proposals for our collaborative training internships program.

The program will fund five Master’s-level internships (five to six months each) for the 2026-2027 academic year. To promote true cross-collaboration, every funded project must be jointly supervised across two different disciplines or institutions. Where possible, we also highly encourage involving an industrial partner.

Please note: This current call is strictly for selecting the internship topics. Once a project is approved and funded, supervisors will be responsible for recruiting their own M2 student.

Eligibility

  • Target Level: The proposed research project must be appropriately scoped for a student entering their second year of a Master’s program (M2) or an equivalent final-year engineering degree.
  • Supervision Requirement: Proposals must explicitly demonstrate co-supervision between at least two distinct disciplines or institutions.

Important Dates

  • Open Call opening: June 15, 2026
  • Submission deadline: October 2, 2026
  • Announcement of the selection decisions: October 16, 2026
  • Start of the internship: From January 2027

How to Submit

To facilitate the review process, please submit your proposal as a single, integrated PDF document (2-pages maximum).

Your PDF should clearly outline:

  • The Research Topic: A comprehensive description of the scientific project and its objectives.
  • The Interdisciplinary Approach: An explanation of how the project bridges your two different fields or institutions, including the specific roles and complementary expertise of each co-supervisor.
  • Industrial Partnership (Optional): Details regarding the involvement of any industry partners, if applicable.
